This cover is Big!
The image area is 14 1/4 by 13 5/8. It's on heavy weight duo-shade paper. Duo-shade acts like zip-tone, but doesn't age the same way because it's part of the papers texture. The old EC comic artists used it quite abit..it's how Wally Wood got all those stunning "greytones", or how Howard Chaykin did his American Flagg. This was used as art for quite afew recap panels [the art was originally only going to be an art-patch used for the flashbacks], then became a last minute cover,and is now going to be the cover for the upcoming hardcover... you just never know what your "children" will be over time.... |
